From the very first time I met Adele she was cracking jokes, mostly at my expense, and she always had a witty retort to anything I could come up with. I can't remember any conversation we had she didn't make me laugh even just a little. There was never any bullshit with Adele she said exactly what was on her mind. That was the quality I most admired about her although I didn't know her all that long. She always treated me like family, and from the first time she met Myles until the last afternoon they spent together at the theater with Orin an Eme, man they were two peas in a pod. Needless to say if Myles was around "Snooks" (the grandparent name she chose) wasn't far behind, he loved her so much.
My favorite memory of Adele an I happened at deepwood walking up the dim lit stairs. I need to preface this by saying Grayson and Adele have a lot of the same build, height, features, clothing etc..
So we walk in the door and head up the stairs and I was sure Grayson was right in front of me so I cocked back my arm to slap her on the rear, and for whatever reason Adele turned around at that exact moment and said hey now Greg doesn't even get to do that, I had known her for all of about a week at the time.
For about the last year or so every time she would talk about death or being gone Greg and I would start talking about buying a boat, and her response would always be if y'all wait till I'm gone to buy a boat I'm going to haunt you. Well I've decided sometimes I'm going to need advice on how to handle your daughter so we gotta buy one so I can ask you lol.
I feel like I speak for everyone when I say you touched my life and I'm a better person for having been able to spend time with you and to have the privilege to know you. But now you get to sit back and watch and laugh.
